2020
Agrícola Jaled is a Mexican company founded in 2019 to educate and help farmers to transition from traditional to organic agriculture seamlessly.
As the company was growing rapidly in its first year, due to the demand and quality of their services, it needed a strong digital presence to scale to Europe and US. There is where all started for me and my team.
For this project we followed the design thinking methodology with a mobile-first approach in order to meet the project necessities while prioritizing user experience.
To shape the website with a user-centered approach, we conducted user interviews and benchmarking to gather valuable insights and identify key opportunities.
With clear understanding of the context and audience needs, we moved forward to define goals and requirements with stakeholders. This way we would have the tools to create a successful product.
• Clear & accessible information
• Highlight organic farming value
• Seamless & familiar experience
• Inspire confidence & curiosity
• Strong digital presence
• Attract and engage leads
• Build trust & credibility
• Balance disruption & familiarity
• Engage non-tech audience
With all of the above research results and analysis, we got enough information to move forward to define the website structure and content architecture. We build some low-quality wireframes to get feedback from stakeholders, below you can see some of these designs.
Once we got feedback from stakeholders after presenting sitemap and wireframes, we continued with the strategic implementation of Agricola Jaled's branding, having as a result a vibrant, attention-grabber and easy-to-understand website.
Though we made some tests and validate the website structure in the ideation phase, once we had high quality mockups and prototypes we looked for enhancements by presenting prototypes to stakeholders, we got great feedback that helped us refine the UI for better results as well as re-write some small sections to make it easier to understand for visitors.
It's awesome how non-tech-savvy users can have a unique perspective that is so valuable to upgrade a product by using that feedback wisely.
For this project I was in charge of building the website using WordPress, preparing most of the visual assets while adhering to web nest practices. I conducted quality assurance across various screen resolutions and browsers to ensure a consistent, high-quality design implementation and experience.
Despite initial resistance due to unfamiliarity with digital platforms, our team developed an intuitive website that facilitated user engagement and comprehension.
This project deepened my understanding of designing for non-tech-savvy audiences, emphasizing the importance of simplicity and clarity in user interfaces. I look forward to applying these insights to future projects that aim to bridge the gap between technology and user needs.
"We liked too much the result, from the photos and videos to see it implemented in the website, we are very happy!"
